If you are a fan of the kitschy Hawaiian tiki craze from the 1950s and 1960s or are simply looking for something fun to do in the early part of the evening on Saturday, then you definitely don’t want to miss the first-ever Tulsa Tiki Day party hosted by Decopolis in the Tulsa Deco District.

From 6pm-9pm the downtown gift shop and bookstore will be hosting a fun-filled event, “where everyone gets leid!” There will be free snacks and drinks, retro Hawaiian luau music, and even a limbo contest. There will also be a petition to make the second Saturday of August the city’s official Tulsa Tiki Day every year.  Everyone who signs the petition will be entered to win a gift basket full of fun tiki gifts. People are also encouraged to dress up, and Decopolis is offering a 10% discount to anyone who shows up wearing tiki or Hawaiian-inspired attire.

Decopolis is located at 607 S. Boston Ave. in Downtown Tulsa. Afterward, keep the party going by heading over to Enso for music from DJ Moody, starting at 9pm!
