Maintaining your eye health is only part of the equation when it comes to taking care of yourself – it is also important to take measures to ensure your body’s overall health as well. If you’re looking for ways to incorporate more exercise into your life, what better way to start than by attending the 9th Annual Williams Route 66 Marathon in Tulsa this weekend?

The Route 66 Marathon is a fun, much anticipated event that offers several race options to fit every participant’s level of skill. Do you have the energy and stamina to run 26.2 miles around the Tulsa? Or, is half that distance of 13.1 miles more your speed? The marathon event will offer everything from a USAFT-certified full marathon course to a half marathon course and even a Marathon Relay, which will allow multiple participants to divide the distance into several shorter segments of 5.6 miles each as a team. Other races include the 5K run and walk, a one-mile fun run and walk, and the much-awaited mascot dash.

The event takes place over the entire weekend, and part of the festivities include the Health, Fitness & Sustainability Expo that will be held inside the Cox Business Center. The expo will take place on Friday, Nov 21, from 11am to 8pm and on Saturday, Nov 22, from 10am to 6pm. The expo is free of charge and will include music and entertainment, as well as a number of food trucks.
