Chrissie Hynde Performs Live at Tulsa's Brady Theater

It’s rock-and-roll night with one of the well-known rock vocalist of the 80’s and 90’s! Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders will perform live on stage this coming Friday at the Brady Theater in Tulsa!

Real name Christine Ellen Hynde, Chrissie Hynde is an American rock band vocalist and songwriter who is popularly known for her rock 80’s band, The Pretenders. The group started out in 1978 when Hynde met the bass guitar and vocalists, Pete Farndon. They collaborated with other musicians to form a rock group, namely Martin Chambers on the drums and percussion and James Honeyman-Scott on guitars and keyboards. The group’s name was inspired from the 50’s R&B song, The Great Pretender by Sam Cooke.

Hynde also did a number of musical projects and collaborations with other musicians. She sang the backing vocals with Curved Air’s Sonja Kristina on the Vampires Stole My Lunch Money by Mick Farren. She did a duet with INXS for their album Full Moon, Dirty Hearts and sang the vocals of the State of Independence Part II for the Moodfood album of Moodswings.
